Finally!! A post! Our visit to the Newburgh Library!
Last week, we took our first field trip to the Newburgh Library on the river front! What a great walk! (Even though it was a little warmer than expected!) We were able to listen to wonderful stories! The kids (and I think parents) really enjoyed it! Here are a few photos (thanks to Mrs. Fouts!)

Meet Mrs. Schmitt!
Hello!! My name is Jenny Schmitt and this is my second year teaching 1st grade! I am so excited to see how much my little 1st graders grow this year! I am a Newburgh native and graduated from Castle High School in 2004. I attended Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky from 2004-2008.
Upon graduating, I moved back home, thinking it was only going to be a temporary move, until I was lucky enough to find a job at NES as a remedial aide. How lucky am I to work in the same school corporation that I grew up in?! The following school year I was moved to Loge Elementary as a Title I Aide. I worked with grades 1-5 here and loved it. To begin the 2010-2011 school year, I was at Sharon Elementary as a Title I Aide again. I was there for 2 1/2 days before I got the call that I was being moved to Newburgh to teach 1st grade!! My dream was coming true! I have now been offered a permanent position at NES and couldn't be happier!
Parents---I have no babies yet; so your babies are my babies, too! :-) I will always treat them as if they were my own...with all the care and love they deserve!
